What you wear could change your life

At Sensawear®, the goal is ZERO. Zero nurses injurying their backs from lifting and rolling countless patients. Zero invasive, visual skin inspections. Zero pressure injuries. We believe our technology will help make that dream a reality.

Adhesive-based tissue monitoring system

Sensawear's® textile-based monitoring systems take harmless, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and makes it completely wearable. The underlying tissue is continuously monitored for changes in tissue oxygen saturation (StO2) and alerts the patient and caregiver when it is time to move. Never again will patients need regular, invasive skin checks.

Tissue health monitoring as a wearable

Pressure injuries affect not only paraplegics or other mobility-impaired persons, they can develop during long surguries, long-term hospital bed stays, in geriatric clinics and neurological rehab centers. Because pressure injuries form due to local pressure points and a lack of regular movement, our alert system tells patients and caregivers when to move. Just a small amount of movement is enough to re-oxygenate the tissue and prevent pressure injuries.
